Ashish qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry in 1997 with distinction. He was awarded a Gold medal for securing a first in Paediatric Dentistry and a Bronze medal overall for the class of 1997. He continued to be involved in national and international conferences and seminars and in 2007 he completed the post graduate examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Always a keen learner, Ashish continues to be involved in postgraduate training and is currently completing an MSc in Orthodontic practice.
Ashish has extensive clinical experience in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics and accepts referral from his dental colleagues for complex Restorative procedures. He is also amongst the very few Dentists in England who are experienced in the use of Precision dentures and Telescopic dentures. His vision is to establish Kings Road Dental Practice as a centre of excellence where only research and evidence based dentistry is practiced. To further this aim he collaborates with like minded dentists who share his passion for continued research and enquiry in the science of dentistry.
Ashish's extracurricular interests are varied. He is a keen gardener and grows different varieties of Roses ranging from hybrid teas to floribundas. He is currently experimenting with grafting different Apple varieties on one tree. He also enjoys cycling and is an avid reader.
Archana qualified in 1998 from the University of Pune, one of the premier Indian institutes for dental education. She then worked in the Indian Armed forced and the Indian Air Force as a dental officer.
In 2007, Archana passed the International Qualifying Examinations of the British Dental Council with flying colours. There after she worked as an associate dental surgeon in Bath for 6 years.
Archana joined Kings Road Dental Practice in 2013 and since then has become an integral part of the dental team. Her special interests are Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics. She is also usually the 'go to' dentists for anxious patients.Outside of work Archana is a keen Yoga practitioner and spends her free time with her two year old daughter.
Fiona joined us at Kings Road Dental Practice in 1996, immediately after qualifying from the University of Bristol Dental School. At graduation she was presented with the Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit and also The Campus Travel Elective Award, for her research project carried out at Westmead Dental Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Fiona completed her Vocational Training year here at Kings Road under Roger Chambers.
In 2004 Fiona was awarded her Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies by the University of Bristol after completing a three year course of extensive study in Prosthetics, Endodontics & Periodontology.
Fiona is still keenly committed to Continuing Professional Development to ensure she can provide her patients with the best standard of care.
Fiona is married to Mark and they have two young daughters. They are the proud owners of "Thomas-the-Motorhome" and enjoy travelling and the outdoor life. In her limited free time Fiona enjoys researching her family history, which has taken her to Wick on the North East Coast of Scotland. She is an avid reader and Bookclub member.
Mark qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1980. He ran a successful practice for nearly 20 years in Pembrokeshire, returning to the West Country in 2003. He commenced placing dental implants in 2003 and since 2009 devotes his entire time to this field of Dentistry.
He places several hundred implants yearly, mainly in the aesthetic zone, including complex full arch restorations and undertakes sinus and block bone grafts as necessary. Mark uses Straumann and Southern implant systems, renowned for their quality and long term clinical studies.
Mark continues his commitment to further professional development by participating in several prestigious courses every year. He has completed the Master's course in Sinus Grafting and Guided Tissue Regeneration at the Univ. of Bern with Prof D. Buser in 2010.
Mark has a very caring compassionate approach, putting patients readily at ease. He spends time explaining the implant treatment plan in detail. He is member of both the ADI (Association of Dental Implantologists) and ITI (International Team for Implantology).
Mark is an accredited ITI mentor and ITI speaker. He is currently mentoring a number of novice implantologists. Mark is a regular tutor on the Practical Dissection course in Applied Anatomy at the Univ. of Bristol. In his spare time, Mark plays football and is a keen angler, often catching his own dinner.
Jo is our new Practice Manager she has 19 years experience in administration and has been a part of Kings Road Dental team since August 2014. Jo is new to dentistry but is enjoying the new challenge of the role. She has excellent customer service skills and is great with any enquiries from patients who come to our practice. She has strong work ethics and works very well within our team.
Rebecca has extensive experience in dental administrative roles and has been a member of Kings Road dental team since August 2014. She is an excellent communicator and besides being a receptionist Rebecca previously worked as a dental nurse for 3 years. Rebecca is very talented in dancing which she does in her spare time and also enjoys learning Spanish.
Laura has been working as a dental nurse for the past two years and has been part of the team at Kings Road for over a year. She is undergoing the dental nursing diploma course at Bristol dental hospital and hopes to be qualified by the summer. When not at work Laura enjoys keeping fit and healthy and is a keen runner.
Gemma became involved with dentistry in 1996 when she trained at Kings Road Dental at the young age of 16. In 1997 she qualified as a dental nurse at Bristol Dental Hospital and then went on to receive the dental nurses' conscious sedation qualification in 1998. Since then she has attended courses in surgery and implantology. She works happily within our team at Kings Road Dental and as a long standing member of staff enjoys the relationship she has built up with our patients.
Jenny has been working as a dental nurse for the past 8 years and qualified in 2010. She is very passionate about her job and enjoys all aspects of Dental Nursing. She has recently joined the practice at Kings Road and now feels very much part of the team. Outside of work she enjoys horse riding and walking.
Prior to working as a dental nurse, Sylwia graduated from International Tourism. Sylwia joined Kings Road Dental practice in 2014. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and always aims to provide excellent dental care. She works happily within our team and enjoys building up the relationship with the patients. Sylwia is keen on travelling, cooking and learning foreign languages.
